Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University honored the memory of the dead servicemen and members of volunteer formations.

On August 29, 2020, anniversaries are being held since the day of the largest losses of the Ukrainian army in eastern Ukraine – the withdrawal of military personnel from the encirclement in Ilovaisk. This tragic event will always flutter like a red page in the memory of the people, because thousands of innocent people died for their country. Therefore, it is the duty of each of us to perpetuate the memory of their feat. After all, memory is a part of our people, conscience, pain, pride. Thanks to it the Ukrainian nation remains united and strong.

On this day, representatives of the structural divisions of the university honoured to the memory at the monument and graves of the dead servicemen.
