The Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports honors the memory of Volodymyr Savenko.
They say that when someone dies on earth, a star falls from the sky … On June 29, the star of a wonderful man, a respected colleague, a wise teacher and friend, Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Savenko fell.
A family man, father, doctor, teacher, lecturer, mentor is a person who devoted his whole life to conscientious work and the struggle for the health of others.
Volodymyr Oleksandrovych throughout his life masterly combined medical practice with theoretical research and teaching. In the position of an orthopedic trauma surgeon, more than one thousand operations were done within Ukraine and abroad. For 16 years, a fruitful combination of practical and teaching activities at the Department of Traumatology, Orthopedics and Field Surgery of the Luhansk State Medical Institute. In 1973, he defended his Ph.D. thesis on the topic “False joints of long tubular bones”. Since 1980, an employee of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, associate professor, honorary professor has been awarded numerous diplomas of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and university certificates.
For many years of selfless work, Volodymyr Oleksandrovych saved people’s life and helped in the fight against diseases not only one hundred people, but, without exaggeration, tens of thousands of people rehabilitated his golden hands. For his work, Vladimir Alexandrovich received personal thanks from the President of Algeria “For Conscientious Work”.
We will remember him as a man with a kind heart, an open soul, a unique sense of humor, unlimited working capacity and exactingness for himself and others.
