The students and teaching staff of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University expresses deep sorrow at the death of Volodymyr Savenko.

On June 29, 2020, Honorary Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Therapy, Ergotherapy and Human Health Volodymyr Savenko died.

The life of Volodymyr Oleksandrovych began on September 11, 1940. He devoted his life to medicine. In 1964 he graduated from Luhansk Medical Institute and immediately began working in the Belokurakine hospital. Years of study in residency and postgraduate school gave the young doctor inspiration and knowledge for life.

Since 1987, the life of Volodymyr Oleksandrovych has been connected with Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, where he taught medicine to many thousands of grateful students.

In general, the traumatologist gave 46 years of life to scientific and pedagogical work. For achievements he was awarded the University Certifivate, Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Certificate of Honor of the Department of Education and Science of the Luhansk Regional State Administration. In 2007, Volodymyr Oleksandrovych received the title “Honorary Professor of LTSNUˮ.

In our memory, Volodymyr Savenko will forever remain a true friend, wise mentor, reliable adviser and professional in his field. We bow low before his departure into eternity and express our sincere condolences to the family and friends.
