General meeting of the labor collective

A general meeting of the labor collective was held at the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports.

In the context of the pandemic of the coronavirus infection COVID-19, the meeting was held in compliance with the necessary sanitary standards.

The meeting was attended by the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work Oleksandr Meniailenko. During the event, he solemnly handed the diploma of the Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences to Tetiana Poluliashenko.

The following issues were considered on the agenda:

• Report of the Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports Poluliaschenko Yu.M. on fulfilling the terms of the contract concluded with the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” for 2017-2020.
• About approval of the candidate of Poluliashchenko Yu.M. to the post of director of the ER IPES.
• About the recommendations of the conclusion of labor relations to the post of director of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports of the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University”.

The structure of the report of Yurii Mykhailovych was made up of the main activities of the institute for 3 years: the formation of the student contingent and staffing; scientific and methodological work; social and humanitarian work and other activities (sports activities).

Thanks to the systematic, planned, advertising and career guidance work at the institute, an increase of the student intake is observed annually. For the period 2017-2020, the enrollment of full-time and part-time students increases annually. In 2017, 272 students entered the institute, in 2018 – 286 students, and in 2019 – 292 students.

In the 2018-2019 academic year, graduation amounted to 260 students, of which 118 bachelors and 146 masters. In the 2019-2020 academic year, there are 243 students. Of these, 117 are bachelors and 126 are masters.

Regarding the staffing of the educational process, it should be noted that the high professional qualification of the scientific and pedagogical staff of the institute is a determining factor in ensuring the high quality of education of university graduates.

In the scientific and methodological work for the reporting period, more than 30 scientific and scientific-methodological works were published, of which: 2 monographs, 4 articles in journals of the Scopus scientific database, 27 articles in professional editions of Ukraine.

In sporting activities, Yurii Mykhailovych was awarded the National Olympic Committee Award “For Contribution to the Olympic Movement” for high athletic performance by students of the Institute; in December 2018 he received a certificate from the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine “For Special Merits to the Ukrainian People”; in June 2018 he was awarded “For Devotion to the Olympic movement.”

In the period 2017-2020, students showed high results in international competitions. At the World Universiade 2017, students won 2 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals. At the European and World Powerlifting Championships, they set world and European records. 2 licenses for participation in the Tokyo-2021 Olympic Games have been won.

Every year, in order to attract students to sports and fitness and sports classes, a number of regional, sectoral and intersectoral sports and athletics competitions are organized and held, in which students of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports take part.

In the discussion of the report of Yurii Poluliashchenko, Meniailenko O.S., Livatsky A.V., Gordienko P.Yu., Sokolenko A.I. proposed to approve the report of the director of the institute.

After the approval of the report, Yurii Poluliashchenko was proposed for the post of Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports. The team unanimously supported such a proposal.

Yurii Mykhailovych thanked the entire workforce for their trust and promised to proudly bear the name of the institute, preserving traditions and introducing innovations, glorifying the institute with new achievements and victories.
