Open Day Online

An Open Day online took place at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. 

On June 18, 2020, our higher educational institution opened its doors for applicants online. Despite the quarantine activities, Open Day was first held online using the Zoom platform. During the meeting, the Rector, Vice-Rector for Academic Research, executive secretary of the Admission Committee, as well as deans and teachers of structural subdivisions were waiting for future applicants.

At the beginning, the Rector of LTSNU Serhii Savchenko addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. During the online meeting, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work Dmytro Uzhchenko and the executive secretary of the Admission Committee Yaroslava Yurkiv acquainted the applicants with the features of the 2020 admission campaign and the procedure for entering the university.

In connection with the COVID-19 pandemic, the acceptance of documents will begin from the beginning of August and will last until August 22. Among the main features, it can be noted that if through quarantine restrictions it will be impossible to conduct entrance exams and apply at the university, then everyone will be able to do this online.

Applicants are free to call the Admission Committee and the educational center “Donbas-Ukraine”, where they will receive thorough answers to their questions and full advice on personal admission. They also noted that due to problems of mobile communication in territories beyond the control of the Ukrainian government, applicants can call the indicated numbers to Viber or other mobile applications.

Future students, in turn, actively asked questions about the timing of entrance exams and admission of documents, filing applications and online registrations, to which they received solid answers.
