International Conference and Workshop

Teachers of the Department of Pedagogy took part in the two-day International Scientific and Methodological Conference and Workshop.

On May 29-30, on the basis of Sumy State University, an online conference “Value-Based Approach in Education and the Challenges of European Integration” was held, which, together with specialists from leading educational institutions of Ukraine and abroad, was joined by teachers from the Department of Pedagogy of the Ukrainian Institute of Applied Problems. The event was organized as part of the Jean Monnet Module project “Implementation of the European Union Values ​​in Ukraine”. And it was aimed at discussing value-oriented approaches in education in the context of European integration processes.

During the conference, a workshop “Innovative Techniques for Developing Competencies and Value Orientations of Secondary and Higher Education Applicants” was held and the work of such panels was organized:

Panel 1. Axiological dimension of the European educational space.
Panel 2. The role of education in the formation of the value foundations of the solidarity of divided societies.
Panel 3. Values ​​of the EU: historical, legal, political and pedagogical contexts.
Panel 4. Agenda for Sustainable Development for the period until 2030: implementation of sustainable development goals in the educational process in Ukraine and the world.
Based on the results of the conference, a collection of scientific papers will be published.

In addition, during the quarantine period, teachers of the Department of Pedagogy took part in 11 conferences (8 of them were international) with the publication of materials:

• International Scientific and Practical Conference “Priorities for the Development of Pedagogical and Psychological Sciences in the XXI Century” (March 20-21, 2020, Odesa, Ukraine);
• International Internet Conference “Organization and Management in the Services’ Sphere” (May 8, 2020, Opole, Poland);
• X International Scientific and Practical Conference “Scientific Achievements of Modern Society” (May 27-29, 2020, Liverpool, UK);
• International Scientific Conference “Scientific Achievements, Discoveries, and Pathways for the Development of Pedagogical Science” (May 29-30, 2020, Kyiv, Ukraine);
• International Online Conference “Topical Issues of Society Development in the Turbulence Conditions” (May 30, 2020, Bratislava, Slovakia).

Aso the teachers of the Department took part in the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Training of Specialists in Preschool and Primary Education in the Context of Educational Innovations” (April 7, 2020, Starobilsk) and Internet conferences “Logical, Creative, Critical Thinking” (April 11, 2020) and “Effective Interaction in Education: Tools and Techniques” (May 15, 2020), the platform for which was the educational portal “At the LESSON”. 

Over this period, sections for two collective monographs have been prepared, which will be issued by European publishers in the languages ​​of the European Union and 2 scientific publications in editions included in the list of specialized scientific editions of Ukraine.
