All-Ukrainian Mathematics Olympiad for applicants

The second round of the All-Ukrainian Mathematics Olympiad for vocational guidance of applicants on the basis of complete general secondary education was held at the Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies.
On May 22, 2020, the Educational and Research Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies held the final stage of the All-Ukrainian Mathematics Olympiad for the vocational guidance of applicants based on complete general secondary education. The Olympiad was held using the Zoom online service.
At the beginning of the event, the Head of the Department, Professor Anatolii Zhuchok, addressed the students with an introductory speech, who briefly talked about the Department of Algebra and System Analysis and the advantages of teaching at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University in mathematical specialties.
The jury members, Professor Yurii Zhuchok and the senior lecturer of the Department Olena Toichkina familiarized with organizational issues, task conditions and student assessment criteria. The tasks offered to students relate to such classical branches of mathematics as number theory, algebra and the beginning of analysis, geometry and combinatorics.
The results of the final stage of the Olympiad are as follows:
- Olena Nesterova – 95 points;
- Yana But – 95 points;
- Lilia Kravchenko – 35 points.
