The Final Lesson
26.5.2020
April 21, 2020 at the Faculty of Foreign Languages a final lesson in the discipline of “Culture and Communication” (Culture and Human Communication) with 2nd year students studying Chinese and Japanese was held.
Survey questions were sent to students in advance. The questionnaire contained questions about the content of the course and questions on teaching. During the lesson, the teacher commented on the students’ answers and noted that they are an important feedback mechanism for her and a source of information on the quality of teaching the discipline. The teacher also answered questions that caused some difficulties for students. She also noted the work of those students who have mastered the theoretical material and demonstrated strong knowledge and skills to solve practical problems.
Then Fedicheva N.V. told students that she began developing the course Culture and Communication at Cambridge University in 2009; has been teaching this course since 2010. And she is constantly working to improve it. In 2020, she was invited to the University of Leonardo de Vinci (Paris, France) to read this course to students majoring in management, computer engineering, computer science and multimedia. Unfortunately, due to quarantine restrictions, this trip did not take place and was postponed for the next year.
At the end of the class, Fedicheva N.V. addressed the students with the following: “Our university is proud of many graduates who have reached high professional and social levels. Many of them work far beyond our country – abroad. Foreign employers highly and with dignity value their professional knowledge, skills and abilities. However, said Fedicheva NV, I really want the graduates to live, work and communicate fruitfully with representatives of other cultures in Ukraine.
