Family tradition

Honoring the embroidered shirt is a family tradition of the 2nd year students of the Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism.

Family and Homeland are the same concepts. A man until his old age is connected with his family, traditions, which are formed on the cultural and historical heritage of his native land. No matter what the fate, everyone should remember their roots in everyday and professional life.

In the family of Daria and Maria Natochii, 2nd year students majoring in Vocational Education (Food Technology), one of the traditions is the veneration of national clothes. Each family member has his own embroidered shirt (Vyshyvanka).

Girls believe that wearing traditional Ukrainian clothes for religious and public holidays is a sign of the culture of the modern Ukrainian. For a long time, Ukrainian embroidered shirt served as both an ornament and a talisman. In the mysterious language of embroidery, it conveyed many wishes for the family well-being and happiness of its owner. According to Daria and Maria, Ukrainian vyshyvanka is something without which it is difficult to imagine national culture, life and history …

Like real housewives and masters of their profession, on Vyshyvanka Day girls will bake patriotic gingerbread cookies with Ukrainian ornaments according to the family recipe.
