15.5.2020
The department of Biology and Agronomy continues research work.
Scientists and teachers of the Department continue to work on priority areas, namely the development of elements of modern technologies for growing new and traditional crops, the definition of morphological and functional mechanisms for adapting new and zoned varieties and hybrids to specific growing conditions and the like.
So, in April, experimental plots were laid on the topics of dissertation research by postgraduate students N. A. Tsygankova, V. V. Stepanov, working under the direction of Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Serhii Masliiov, as well as the postgraduate student Ye.S. Masliiov under the leadership of the Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Associate Professor, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences Natalia Matsai.
At the experimental sites, a number of varieties of sugar and corn are presented, which are zoned for the Steppe zone of Ukraine, as well as sunflower varieties. All experimental options are embedded in the corresponding field crop rotation. The counts and observations will be carried out in accordance with generally accepted methods and will be compared with crops in accordance with sunflower and corn grown according to the classical technology adopted for our agroclimatic zone.
We wish our scientists new creative successes, let the heights of science always obey you!
