Happy Remembrance and Reconciliation Day and the 75th anniversary of the victory over Nazism!
8.5.2020
Dear veterans, teachers, employees, students of LTSNU, we sincerely congratulate you on the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation and the 75th anniversary of the victory over Nazism in World War II!
The Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation and the Day of Victory over Nazism are significant days for each of us, because it is impossible to forget the famous feat of defenders and liberators. Our ancestors went into battle for the peace and happy future of their descendants. Many decades have passed, but courage, patriotism, honor, and rebellion of the spirit of every soldier will forever remain in the history of the Ukrainian people. In these majestic Days, we remember everyone whose life the war took, low bow to the veterans, who on their shoulders bore the hardships of the war and were able to raise the country from the ashes.
We bow low over those soldiers who have not returned from the front. This is a deep wound for all the peoples of the world, because the war claimed many innocent lives. They just wanted to live, be happy, but fate decreed otherwise. Today we recall each of them in a laid flower, flashes of eternal flame, minutes of silence, because they are Heroes! The memory of the Ukrainian nation will never erase any of them.
Now an important layer of the population for modern youth are veterans. This is our value, which must be preserved, glorified, because the fact that each of them survived is never forgotten. They are a living history, flipping through which you can find out the smallest details of the most terrible war in the world.
We bow low to you and thank you for your sincere devotion, heroism, patriotism and a welcome victory over the enemy. Thanks to you, our children can see the bright sun and live in their native Ukraine, smile and enjoy every day. Thank you for the fact that we can equal you as an example of civic duty and an inexhaustible source of faithful service to our people.
Welcoming everyone who survived the fire of war, as well as teachers, staff, students of our glorious Alma Mater, I would like to wish you peace, good health, family well-being and long years of happy life. We wholeheartedly believe that the fire will soon subside in the east of Ukraine and we will never hear such a word as war again.
I bow to you, dear veterans!
Happy Remembrance and Reconciliation Day and Victory Day!
Sincerely, Chairman of the Academic Council Vitalii Kurylo
and Rector of LTSNU Serhii Savchenko
