Holiday of scientific thought
30.4.2020
On April 28, Science Days were held at the Department of Economics, Marketing and Entrepreneurship of the Educational and Research Institute of Economics and Business.
Due to quarantine restrictions, the event was held in new conditions – remotely.
It was in the context of a fundamentally new situation on the global energy markets and the coronavirus pandemic that the theme of the current Science Day was determined – “Formation of Sustainable Development of Ukraine in the Context of Modern Institutional Challenges: the Determinants of Economics and Marketing”.
The deputy directors of the Educational and Research Institute of Economics and Business Anna Bairachna and Oleg Chernysh visited the event.
The event was organized by the teachers of the Department under the leadership of the Head, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Viacheslav Chebotarov. Traditionally, all teachers of the department took part in the Day of Science. This year, And Simikina, V. Kruglyakov, M. Suvorov, V. Tsekhanovich and K. Kolosova, postgraduate students majoring in Economics and Management joined the event.
Also, 17 students and master students majoring in Marketing and Economics were presented their reports. Some students, by the way, are currently temporarily in the UK, Poland and other countries for various reasons.
First, the Head of the Department, Doctor of Economics, Professor Viacheslav Chebotarev reported on the scientific achievements of the teachers of the department over the past year. This includes the preparation of articles in journals with the impact factor Scopus, and the implementation of international scientific projects, and the state registration of intellectual property rights.
It should be noted that students on the Days of Science reacted not only with interest, but also with responsibility and awareness; the hard work of students and teachers during quarantine was also clearly positive. The discussion of the speeches was lively and with a lot of questions from students, postgraduate students and teachers. Successful speeches were recommended for participation in national conferences (the Department of Economics, Marketing and Entrepreneurship of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University became the co-organizer of one of them already during quarantine together with leading scientific centers of Ukraine).
According to the results of Science Days 2020, the best among the students of the Department were: Oleksandra Ivanova (first year, specialty “Economics”; scientific adviser – professor Viacheslav Chebotarov), Vitalii Laburenko (fourth year, specialty “Marketingˮ; scientific adviser – associate professor Halyna Shtapauk), Maksym Oliinyk (master’s student, specialty “Marketing”; scientific adviser – associate professor Yegor Chebotarov).
The Directorate of the Educational and Research Institute of Economics and Business prepared diplomas and other awards for the winners of Science Days 2020.
