“Gifted youth – 2020”

In Poltava, the annual All-Ukrainian Festival-Competition “Gifted Youth – 2020” took place.

For 22 years in a row, the Educational and Research Institute of Culture and Arts has been organizing and conducting this large-scale event, which brings together hundreds of participants from different parts of Ukraine.

This year the quarantine threatened the holding of the competition, but the ER ICA is always ready for interesting challenges: they decided to use electronic technologies for organizing teleworking for gifted youth as well. The organizers decided to leave only two nominations – “Fine Arts” and “Cinema, Television Arts”, which provide the opportunity of absentee participation in the competition and remote evaluation of works.

Despite quarantine measures, the geography of the competition was maintained. Representatives of educational and art institutions of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kyiv, Zhytomyr and Poltava regions sent their work.

It is interesting that to evaluate the work, the teachers of the Department of Fine and Decorative Arts arranged a real online vote, choosing winners with the help of “likes”.

All winners have received electronic diplomas so far. The real ones they will receive after the end of quarantine, when there will be an opportunity to congratulate all participants in a friendly and truly creative atmosphere.

The Institute of Culture and Arts thanks everyone who, despite difficulties, took part in the competition. This once again proves that there are no boundaries for creativity, and no problems can hinder those who strive for self-realization and self-improvement!
