All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference

On April 14-15, the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Science and Education: State, Problems, Prospects” took place at the Department of Production Technologies and Professional Education.

In connection with the quarantine of COVID-19, the conference was held in a remote mode.

During the conference, the participants worked within 10 scientific sections. The conference was attended by scientists from Ukraine: Scientific Council on the Problem “Physical and Chemical Mechanics of Materials” of the NAS of Ukraine”, Institute for the Modernization of Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Institute of Vocational Education of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, National Pedagogical Dragomanov University, Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, Khmelnitsky National University, Donbas State Pedagogical University, Karpenko Physico-Mechanical Institute of  the NAS of Ukraine, Alfred Nobel University, Sumy State University, Oleksandr Dovzhenko Hlukhiv National Pedagogical University, Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University and other universities; employees of the Luhansk Regional Employment Center. Practical teachers from the Luhansk, Sumy and Chernivtsi regions also joined the conference.

The conference was attended by representatives of near and far abroad: the Republic of Poland – scientists from the Maritime Academy in Szczecin (Akademia Morska w Szczecinie, Poland, Maritime University of Szczecin, Poland), West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin (Zachodniopomorski Uniwersytet Technologiczny w Szczecinie, of Technology in Szczecin, Poland); from Canada – teachers of Algonquin College in Ottawa (Algonquin College Canada).

Conference materials were posted on the official web-forum of the conference. 77 people registered on the web forum who actively commented (more than 400 comments) on the participants’ reports. The conference materials were discussed by means of online communication: Skype, Viber messenger, Facebook social network. Thus, for 224 participants of the conference, an opportunity was provided at a convenient time to get acquainted with all the materials of the authors, ask questions and comment on the reports.

The conference materials were discussed at a meeting of the Department of Production Technologies and Professional Education in Skype communication mode, at a meeting of the project activities department of the Institute for the Modernization of the Content of Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The scientific articles, prepared for the conference, will be published in professional editions of the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University”: “Education and Pedagogical Sciences” and “Bulletin of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National Universityˮ. The theses of the participants in the directions of the conference are compiled into a collection of scientific papers.

The conference participants noted the high level of the scientific event and expressed hope that the next conference will be held in an international format, which is dictated by the interest shown by scientists from other countries.
