The educational process at the Educational and Research Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technology continues in a remote mode using electronic means of communication.

Communication between all participants of the educational process of the institute is carried out using specialized electronic-digital tools and applications Skype, Zoom, etc. To post lecture materials, practical and laboratory works, the university-wide platform Moodle is used, conversations are organized in Telegram for quick feedback.

Quarantine events greatly complicated the scientific life, because due to limitations many scientific conferences, seminars, and competitions had to be postponed or even canceled. However, thanks to modern technology, young scientists have the opportunity to participate in the Olympiads and Days of Science remotely.

So, on April 13, 2020, the Department of Algebra and System Analysis held the IX Student Algebra Olympiad online in memory of Professor Vitalii Usenko. This event was held for the ninth time and became the tradition of the Department.

On April 15, 2020, the Department of Information Technology and Systems held Science Days for students. They took part in an online conference organized using the Zoom service. The event began with a welcoming address by the Director of the Institute Hennadii Mohylnyi, who noted that modern technologies allow organizing educational and extracurricular processes in conditions of self-isolation.

During the event, everyone had the opportunity to ask questions, express their views on the reports.

According to the results of the Days of Science, a report was made by Mykola Kiselov, who, after quarantine, is awaiting a prize from the Directorate.

So, the educational activity at the Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies continues. We hope that quarantine will end soon and we will be able to return to normal operation. Be healthy!
