Scientific achievements at the IPP

Scientific conferences, collections, articles, monographs, dissertations, victories in competitions and much more – such a rich scientific work at the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology during quarantine turned out to be.

From the first day of quarantine, scientific work was identified as one of the priority areas of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology. Departments and teachers, together with the scientific sector of student self-government bodies, developed a clear plan for the scientific work of the institute, departments, teachers, students. Today we present the results of the scientific work of teachers and students, which can be summarized in several areas.

1. Conducting scientific, scientific and practical conferences.
The Department of Philological Disciplines. The IV All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Strategic Priorities of Philology and Linguodidactics in the Context of Reforming the Educational System in Ukraine”, Starobilsk city, April 10 (in detail about the event).

XI All-Ukrainian student scientific-practical conference “Language and Literature in the Projection of Various Scientific Paradigms”, Starobilsk city, April 9 (in detail about the event).

The Department of Preschool and Primary Education. The All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Training of Specialists in Preschool and Primary Education in the conditions of educational innovations” (co-organizers of the Far Eastern National University “Donbas State Pedagogical University”, Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky State Pedagogical University, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine), Starobilsk city, April 7.

2. Compilation of collections of scientific papers:
The Department of Social Pedagogy. The collection “Scientific Search for Young Researchers”, No. 1, No. 2, 2020; the journal “Bulletin of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” No. 1 (332), 2020.

The Department of Pedagogy. The journal Education and Pedagogical Sciences, No. 3 (172), 2019 has been submitted for printing.

The Department of Philological Disciplines. Collections of scientific works “Language and literature in the projection of various scientific paradigms: materials of the XI All-Ukrainian scientific-practical conference (Starobelsk, 2020)“ Strategic priorities of philology and linguodidactics in the context of reforming the educational system in Ukraine ”.

3. Preparation for publication / publication of scientific articles by teachers of the Institute of Scientific and Applied Problems in foreign periodicals or monographs / professional scientific publications of Ukraine / collections of scientific papers / conference proceedings.

4. Organization, conduct and participation of teachers in webinars.

5. Participation in conferences at various levels.
This type of activity was covered by all teachers of the Institute for Scientific and Practical Research, which will be reflected in the general annual report for scientific work.

6. Management of doctoral / candidate dissertations.
Under the guidance of Olena Karaman, a monograph was issued and the doctoral dissertation of V. Stepanenko was prepared for defense, doctoral studies of S. Bader and M. Pochinkova, candidate studies of A. Nazmiev, O. Chernysh, T. Kovalova, V. Teterev, R. Mirovnova are actively carried out . Under the leadership of S. Kharchenko, L. Kalchenko’s doctoral dissertation is being prepared for defense. Under the leadership of S. Bader – Ph.D. dissertation by I. Tolmacheva.

The scientific and pedagogical team of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology conducted active research work with students during the quarantine.

The Department of Social Pedagogy prepared students for participation in the VIII All-Ukrainian distance competition of students’ and pupils’ research papers on social pedagogy / social work (2020) in various categories.

The Department of Preschool and Primary Education trained a student majoring in “Preschool Education” Karyna Borisenko to participate in the second round of the All-Ukrainian Competition of Student Research Papers on the specialty “Preschool Education”, which won the third place (scientific adviser – head of the Department, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor S. A. Bader.

Teachers of the ER IPP provided guidance on the preparation and writing of student scientific articles / abstracts. So, the Department of Philological Disciplines prepared 77 student publications; Department of Preschool and Primary Education – 38; Department of Social Pedagogy – 28; Department of Pedagogy – 3; Department of Defectology and Psychocorrection – 1. In total, 147 student articles / abstracts were published by students of the ER IPP.

In order to popularize the humanities, the Department of Defectology and Psychocorrection conducted events for students of 2-4 courses, implemented in the form of online discussions with the teachers of the department and the director of the Rehabilitation Center for Children with Psychophysical Disabilities T. Demchenko (Odesa) (07.04.2020; 10.04.2020).

Within the framework of the University-wide Days of Science 08.04.2020, the Department of Pedagogy held an online competition of pedagogical essays among students of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports (I. Kurlishchuk, V. Shvyrka).

So, teachers and students of the ER IPP during quarantine created a powerful base of scientific achievements, which will be the basis for the report on scientific work and the rating of scientific achievements of the Institute, departments, scientific and pedagogical workers in 2020.
