The Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports is proud of its athletes.

During the existence of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports, a lot of achievements has developed in the All-Ukrainian and International Sports Arena. Many outstanding athletes, members of the national teams of Ukraine in various sports studied and are studying at our higher educational institution.

One of such athletes is the Master of Sports of Ukraine of the international class in sports gymnastics, a member of the national team of Ukraine Yevgen Yudenkov, who is studying at the 1st year of master’s degree (specialty Secondary Education. Physical Education).

Over the past two years, Evgen has consistently shown good results. He is a repeated Champion and prize-winner of the Championships of Ukraine in 2018 and 2019 in all-around and in individual equipment. The athlete also participated in the stage of the World Cup 2018 and 2019, where, according to the results of the performances, he confidently entered the top ten best gymnasts in the world. In September 2019, at the World Cup in
Paris, he was the fourth in parallel exercises. At the World Championships, which took place in October 2019 in Stuttgart, Evgen was part of the national team of Ukraine, which entered the top ten strongest teams in the world, and won a license to participate in the XXXII Olympic Games, to be held in 2021 in Tokyo.

The athlete is coached by a graduate of our higher education institution, Honored Worker of Physical Culture and Sports of Ukraine, Honored Trainer of Ukraine Oleksandr Gorin.

Currently, in conditions of self-isolation, Evgen performs all the tasks of the coach in preparation for the upcoming starts at the Championships of Ukraine, Europe, and the World. Also, while studying at the magistracy, he works at the educational portal of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, where he takes tests and exams according to the curriculum. In addition, Evgen fruitfully collaborates with his supervisor, associate professor of the Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Education Anatolii Poltavskyi.

The high sports achievements of Evgen and his coach support the image of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, the Luhansk region and Ukraine in the international sports arena, so we wish them further success!
