Victory in the competition

A student of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology won the competition of student research papers.

Karyna Borisenko, a fourth-year student majoring in Preschool Education of the IPP, won the third prize in the second round of the All-Ukrainian Contest of Student Research Papers in the specialty “Preschool Education”, which was held on the basis of Berdiansk State Pedagogical University.

Competitive work was performed at the Department of Preschool and Primary Education under the leadership of the Head of the Department, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Svitlana Bader. The topic of scientific research is “The formation of cognitive activity of senior preschoolers by means of STREAM technology”. The student showed that the development of the cognitive activity of the personality should be started precisely from preschool age, since it is connected with the results of activity, the system of value orientations; reflects will, intellect, feelings of personality, and is also a prerequisite of readiness to study in elementary school. The aim and content of the work was the theoretical justification and experimental verification of the methodology for the formation of cognitive activity of senior preschoolers using STREAM technology.

Based on the research, 2 articles were published (“The problem of the formation of cognitive activity of senior preschoolers in the scientific literature” in 2018; “STREAM technology as a means of forming cognitive activity of senior preschool children” in 2019) in the collection of students ’scientific works“ Scientific Search for Young Researchers “.

Starting from the 2nd year, Karyna is actively engaged in research work. The student’s scientific interests are determined at the junction of complex research topics of the departments of preschool and primary education and philological disciplines.

Prizewinning in the second round of the All-Ukrainian competition of student works was a logical continuation of K. Borisenko’s participation in the I stage of the All-Ukrainian Olympiad in preschool pedagogy in 2018, 2019, where she won the first prize, and the II round of the All-Ukrainian competition of student scientific works in preschool education with work “Quality management of the methodological work of the preschool educational institution based on marketing activities”, where it won the nomination (2018, Berdiansk).

Over the past 3 years, Karyna Borisenko took part in the work of 5 student scientific and practical conferences: the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Science and Education” (2018, Poland), the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Language and Literature in the Projection of Various Scientific Paradigms ”(2018, Starobelsk), All-Ukrainian Student Scientific and Practical Conference“ Pedagogical ideas of A. S. Makarenko in the context of the challenges of modern education ”(2018, Starobelsk), International Scientific Conference“ Fundamental and Applieds cience ” (2019, Sheffield), All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Formation of professionalism of a specialist in the system of continuing education” (2020, Pereiaslav-Khmelnytskyi), based on the results of which 4 scientific papers were published: “Methodology of working on language concepts in children of the sixth years of life ”(2018, Poland),“ Familiarization of children in pre-school education with the traditions and customs of the Ukrainian people ”(2018, Starobelsk),“ Formation of a national-speech personality of a child ”(2019, Sheffield),“ On the problem the formation of spiritual preschool children ”(2020, Pereiaslav-Khmelnytskyi).

Karyna Borisenko was awarded twice with a scholarship by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (2018) and the President of Ukraine (2019).

In addition, Karyna Borisenko is an active participant in the public life of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology. For four years she has been the technical secretary of the admission committee, has taken part in volunteer work, the dance ensemble of the IPP “Vivien”, organizing and conducting Open Days, different festive events; is a member of student government, the head of the academic group, where she is respected. 

In our opinion, Karyna Borisenko has a great future related to science and education.
