Department online meeting
8.4.2020
Teachers of the Department of Information Technology and Systems continue to introduce the latest information technology into the educational process in conditions of self-isolation.
Under the leadership of the Head of the Department, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Asociate Professor Mykola Semenov, the department’s staff examined auxiliary software tools that can optimize the organization of training under quarantine conditions, namely Zoom, WebEx, Skype and text messengers. The teachers of the Department tested each of them.
On March 28 and April 6, teachers shared the results during online meetings of the Department using the Zoom system. Mykola Semenov talked about working on a new course, Informatization of cognitive activity using 3D modeling and roboticsˮ, which is being created as part of the MOPED project (586098-EPP-1-2017-1-UA-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP). Other teachers reported how they organize the learning process under quarantine.
It was decided in parallel with the use of a digital office (http://do.luguniv.edu.ua/) to recommend using Zoom, or similar functional solutions. Also they decided to organize conversations and channels in the Telegram messenger for students living in areas where there is not enough Internet speed to fully participate in video conferencing.
In addition to the compulsory disciplines, applicants for education are invited to additional training in the framework of the Coursera Coronavirus Response (https://www.coursera.org/coronavirus) to participate in which everyone can apply.
