Knowledge Day at LNU!

LNU celebrates the Knowledge Day.
Today a great family of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University has welcomed the first-year students. The boys and girls became a part of a nice family of one of the oldest and the most modern establishments of Ukraine which every year on September 1, the Knowledge Day, comes together to start a new academic year.
Sincere smiles of the students, teachers and employees of LNU showed how this holiday was exciting and joyful. Year in, year out each of them has enriched the history of the native university.
The celebrations were ceremonially opened by the Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Rector Serhii Savchenko: “Congratulations on the first of September! The Knowledge Day is the important and exciting event, the start of educational path. Please, accept my congratulations, the first-year students! The Farewell Bell was for you in the beginning of the summer and today you can proudly call yourselves the students of Luhansk National University. I am sure that your skills and insistence will be a guarantee of your significant success in adult life. I believe that student youth is our future and a key for well-being of Ukraine. Congratulations!”
The honoured guests were the Deputy Chair of Luhansk Regional State Administration on Social and Humanitarian Field Olha Lishyk and the Deputy Chair of Starobilsk District State Administration Olena Hryhorenko. They warmly congratulated the students and supported our university and this common goal, the whole Ukraine strives for.
The first-year students thanked for the congratulations and said a solemn student’s swear. They swore to contribute keeping the best traditions of the university and its good reputation, to study well and to bring glory and honour to LNU, learn a profession to be useful to their people.
Dear friends, our congratulations on the start of the academic year. We wish you good health, academic excellence and to be health and cheerful!
