Representatives of the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” took part in a two-day workshop.

Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​Svitlana Shekhavtsova, Head of Romance and Germanic Philology Department Olena Byndas and Head of Department of Oriental Languages ​​Natalia Fedicheva took part in a two-day workshop “Policy on English in Higher Education in Ukraine”, which was held in March 12 – 13, 2020 in Kyiv.

The organizers and developers of the pilot project are the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine together with the British Council in Ukraine.

The aim of the seminar was to familiarize universities with the Conceptual Principles of State Policy on the development of English in higher education in detail, to learn about the current experience of participating institutions. During the seminar the certain areas of responsibility of various structures were explained, tools conducive to the development of learning English in higher education were discussed and developed, and a plan for developing recommendations for higher educational institutions of Ukraine was developed.
