The third place in the Ukrainian Cup

The women’s weightlifting team of the Luhansk region, which included students of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports, took the third place in the Ukrainian Cup.

In the individual competition Tetiana Budnikova was unsurpassed (1st year, specialty Secondary Education. Physical Education). In the weight category of 49 kg, she took the highest step of the podium with a result of 143 kg in total biathlon.

In the weight category of 45 kg, Nadiia Kurdiukova (2nd year, specialty Physical Culture and Sports. Sports) took the second place with a score of 112 kg in the combined events and fulfilled the standard for awarding the sports title “Master of Sports of Ukraine”.

The third step of the podium was taken by Kateryna Buianova (1st year, specialty Secondary Education. Physical Education) in the 55kg weight category with the result of 165 kg in biathlon, and Tetiana Andriiaschenko (1st year, specialty Physical Culture and Sports. Sports) in the 81kg weight category with the result of 167 kg took the fourth place.

Among men in the weight category of 67 kg Dmyro Kurdiukov won the bronze medal (4th year, specialty Secondary Education. Biology and Human Health) with a score of 253 kg.
