Meeting of the one-time Specialized Academic Council

For the first time, a one-time Specialized Academic Council for awarding the degree of Doctor of Philosophy was created and held at the University.
The meeting took place on March 3. So, in the framework of the experiment to award the degree of Doctor of Philosophy approved by a decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on March 6, 2019, the public defense of the dissertation of Iryna Kalinina on the topic “Pedagogical support of the personal and professional formation of public servants in the process of their adaptation to managerial activities” was held in specialty 231 “Social Work”. The scientific adviser is Serhii Ya. Kharchenko, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Social Pedagogy of LTSNU (Starobilsk city).
The members of the council were the leading specialists of our university including the chairman of the council – Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Prof. S.A. Shekhavtsova; reviewers: Doctor of Pedagogical , Associate Professor V.I. Babich; Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor V.N. Shvyrka.
Official opponents were:
- Maryna P. Vasilieva, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Prof., Head of the Department of Social Work and Social Pedagogy of the H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University;
- Tetiana L. Liakh, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Social Work and Social Pedagogy, Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University.
During the discussion, the meeting was attended by the Rector of the LTSNU Professor Serhii Savchenko, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, Professor L. Vakhovskyi, as well as the Director of the Luhansk OIPDO I.I.Tsymbal, who noted the uniqueness and the extreme relevance of the presented dissertation.
