Honorary titles

At the solemn meeting of the Academic Council of the University, the titles of Honorary Professor of LTSNU and  Honorary Doctor of Sciences of LTSNU were awarded. 

For each university, it is important to develop and prosper. The driving force behind this is his teaching staff. Our university has always been famous for a cohort of outstanding doctors of science and professors of our native Alma Mater, who devoted their lives to science and self-development and became an example for worthy imitation.

On the occasion of the 99th anniversary of the university fundation, the honorary title of Honorary Professor of LTSNU was awarded to the head of the Ukrainian Language Department Alla Nikitina, the head of the Department of Cultural Studies and Cinema-, TV-arts Tetiana Shelupakhina and the Assistant Professor of the Department of Olympic and Professional Sports Serhii Shinkarev.

Each of these scientists has been working for the benefit of our university for about 40 years. Their contribution to the educational process of not only the university, but also the state is invaluable.

A graduate of 1985 then Luhansk Taras Shevchenko State Pedagogical Institute Alla Nikitina began her scientific and pedagogical activity at our university since 1991. Being engaged in scientific research in the field of linguodidactics, she received a doctorate in pedagogical sciences, later became a professor in the Ukrainian Language Department, and, therefore, a modern first-class specialist who has about 160 scientific publications. Today, the Honorary Professor noted, “Scientific and pedagogical achievements allowed us to do interesting work, work with students, master students, postgrduate students, linguistics teachers, create textbooks and manuals, develop educational concepts, programs, participate in discussions among scientists and educators – practical issues of language learningˮ.

Tetiana Shelupakhina began her professional career in 1980 as the accompanist of the Department of Theory, History of Music and Playing Musical Instruments. Received a Ph.D. in Philosophy, academic title of Associate Professor, Tetiana Volodymyrivna became a highly qualified specialist, the proof of which is that she now works as the head of the Department of Cultural Studies and Cinema, TV-Arts of LTSNU. 

Serhii Shinkarev connected his life with the university in 1975, when he became a student at the Voroshilovgrad State Pedagogical Institute named after Taras Shevchenko. Since 1979, he began scientific activity. He worked as deputy dean for academic affairs at the Faculty of Physical Education, and served as director of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports. Today, the Associate Professor of the Department of Olympic and Professional Sports for 40 years at the university has 106 scientific publications.

The title of Honorary Doctor of Sciences of LTSNU was awarded to the founder of LLC Agro Capital Group LTD, the founder and director of LLC ELIT OIL, a member of the Supervisory Council of LTSNU, Aliiev Ali oglu, for his significant contribution to the development of material technical base and international cooperation of our university.

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University is proud that the teaching staff is constantly striving for excellence and glorifies their native Alma Mater.
