Heavenly Hundred Heroes Day

On February 21, 2020, students and teaching staff of the ER IPMIT paid tribute to the Heavenly Hundred Heroes in Rubizhne city.

The Memorial Day of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes is celebrated annually on February 20 according to the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated February 11, 2015 No. 69/2015 “On honoring the feat of the participants of the Revolution of Dignity and perpetuating the memory of Heavenly Hundred Heroes”. It was on these days, six years ago, during the Revolution of Dignity, that the confrontation between the Ukrainian people and the then regime reached its zenith.

The 2nd year student Angelina Sylkina majoring in “Secondary Education. Mathematics” and the 4th year student Artem Zhukov majoring in “Computer Engineering” talked about those terrible events. 

During their story, they talked about several of the dead heroes, in particular, Ihor Kostenko, Nazar Voitovych and recalled the site https://nebesnasotnya.com/, which has information about all the heroes.

Students together watched a chronicle of those events, video memoirs of the events on the Maidan and listened together to songs dedicated to the heroes.

The requiem meeting ended in a moment of silence.
