Student initiation ceremony

On February 17, the student initiation ceremony took place at the Educational and Research Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism. 

Student Initiation Ceremony is a crucial moment in the life of each freshman, when they are officially accepted into the large family of the institute. After this important and serious action, freshmen are accepted into the ranks of their native structural subdivision.

The Initiation Ceremony began with a welcoming speech by the Rector of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Serhii Savchenko, “Dear freshmen, you became students of the youngest structural subdivision of our university, however, it is a powerful educational and research institute. You can verify this by studying in it. Threre will be foreign practices, interesting extracurricular and powerful educational activities. 

Viktor Drel, Director of the Institute, congratulated the heroes of the occasion, “I sincerely congratulate all our freshmen and am very glad that you have reached the second semester. There are four flags on the stage: the state flag of Ukraine, the flag of the Luhansk region, the flag of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and the flag of our Institute. I want you to bring the whole learning process to your heart and remember that you received education in Ukraine, in one of the best higher education institutions in the east of our country – Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University at the Educational and Research Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism. I wish you good health, happiness, inspiration, and most importantly – a peaceful sky. May luck accompany you in life!”

On this day, for active participation and significant achievements in the sports life of the university, Oleksandr Bychkov, first-year student majoring in “Vocational Education. Transport” was awarded an honorary diploma.  The first-year student majoring in “Entrepreneurship, Trade and Exchange Activities” Veronika Vorozhbit received a certificate for the first achievements in scientific activity.

Iryna Prodan, head of the Design Department, senior students and master’s students of the institute Natalia Naumenko, Valeria Hladka, Olha Popova and Oleksandr Kondratiev also sent sincere congratulations to the freshmen. They wished students to become competitive specialists, successful people and true patriots of their state.
