Participation in the seminar

The delegation of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University takes part in a training seminar at the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine.

On February 10-12, a training seminar on the implementation of the project “Intensification of Influence of Teachers of Luhansk Region on the Processes of Reconciliation and Peace-Building” within the framework of the project “EU Support to Displaced Higher Education Institutions in the East of Ukraine” is being held in Kyiv. Representatives of the University Administration take part in the event: Vitalii Kurylo, chairman of the Academic Council; Dmytro Uzhchenko, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work; Dmytro Kovalov, Vice-Rector for Administrative and Economic Work.

Recall that the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National Universityˮ received a grant from the European Union for the implementation of the project “Intensification of Influence of Teachers of Luhansk Region on the Processes of Reconciliation and Peace-Building” as the main contractor and coordinator of the project “EU Support to Displaced Higher Education Institutions in the East of Ukraine” in the amount of 1,582,841.75 euros.

The importance of this project is due to the need to implement a number of educational and rehabilitation programs for the population of the region affected by the military conflict, as well as to improve the material and technical base of the displaced university from the temporarily occupied territory.

The main purpose of the event is to discuss the organization of the project, its impact on the population of the region, the basic principles of its success, etc.
