University Administration meeting

Today a scheduled meeting of the University Administration was held at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
The agenda included the issue of the state and development prospects of Brianka College of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
Having listened and discussed the report of the Director of Brianka College of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Mykhailo Sapizhak, the University Administration noted that the educational activities in the college are carried out on the basis of a license of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The Brianka College of LTSNU trains specialists on the basis of basic general secondary education in specialties: “Design”, “Economics. Enterprise Economics”; on the basis of complete general secondary education – “Design”, “Economics. Enterprise Economics ”,“ Accounting and Taxation. Accounting”; on the basis of the CMO of a skilled worker – “Design”, “Accounting and Taxation. Accounting”. Training is carried out in full-time and part-time forms. The contingent of students is 147 people, including full-time students – 122 people, part-time students – 25 people. In order to organize the educational process, the College uses the area of the Lysychansk Pedagogical College of LTSNU, which is generally sufficient to ensure a high-quality educational process.
The educational activities of the College are aimed at providing high-quality professional higher education and ensuring continuous professional development of staff on the basis of student-centered training. During 2019, Brianka College formed its own book fund of textbooks from 194 textbooks and manuals. Practical training of students provides the passage of various types of practices: educational, technological, industrial, undergraduate. The bases for conducting educational-production and pre-diploma practices are enterprises and organizations with which 31 contracts have been concluded.
Over the past year, teachers and college students have participated in ten international, all-Ukrainian, regional conferences on relevant topics of inclusive education and pedagogy, interdisciplinary and professional competitions.
The activity of student self-government is aimed at creating a favorable educational environment, attracting students to active social and humanitarian work.
The acting head of the Department for Managing the Quality of Educational Activities Margaryta Kravchenko participated in the discussion of this issue. She noted that today several issues still need to be addressed in the work of the College including amending the constituent documents and the provisions of the deliberative bodies in connection with the entry into force of the Law of Ukraine “On Professional Higher Education”; development of educational and methodological support, taking into account standards for the training of professional junior bachelors; development of cooperation programs with potential employers; improvement of career guidance work with 9-11th grade pupils of general secondary educational institutions, etc.
Among miscellaneous, the issues of making changes in the composition of the administration were considered; on applying to the academic council for conferring the honorary titles of the university and rewarding with an honorary diploma; on rewarding teachers and staff with a letter of appreciation and gratitude from the university on the occasion of the 99th anniversary of the foundation of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
