On January 25, the university basketball and volleyball teams won in regional and district competitions.

The basketball team consisting of the playing coach, teacher of the SPHC Evgen Reshetilo and students Vitalii Kondratenko, Oleksandr Kulachka, Artem Solovii as well as master’ students Dmytro Karpenko and Oleksandr Bondarenko did not give any chances to their rivals at the regional competitions held in the village of Belokurakino.

At the first stage, the basketball players confidently won in their group. There were four games and four wins, and then the final game against the team of the city of Lysychansk was won with a score of 52:28.

Volleyball players at the tournament, which was dedicated to the 77th anniversary of the liberation of Starobilsk from the German invaders, consisting of Yevgen Gusakov, Danylo Pysanyi, Tetiana Kulinchenko, Yurii Scherbak, Oleksandr Petrenko, Roman Poltavets and Yehor Kornienko showed a good game and defeated their rivals with the same score 2: 0. First, they defeated the teams in the group of villages Polovinkino and Shulginka, and then in the final match defeated the volleyball players from Chmyrivka village.

The tournament was held in the sports hall of our university. Unfortunately, for the second time, the first-year student Bohdan Ruzhin refused to play for the university team.

As a result, Oleksandr Kulachka was recognized as the best basketball player in the championships.
