LTSNU in the ranking of universities according to Scopus indicators

Our University took 78th place in the ranking of Ukrainian higher educational institutions by Scopus 2019. 

In April 2019, the website osvita.ua carried out scientometric monitoring of subjects of scientific and publishing activities of Ukraine according to the indicators of the SciVerse Scopus database, based on which a ranking of Ukrainian higher educational institutions was compiled.

The ranking results are based on the Scopus database. Recall that Scopus is a bibliographic and abstract database and a tool for tracking the citation of articles published in scientific journals. It indexes over 20,000 titles of scientific publications in technical, medical and human sciences.

In the ranking table, higher educational institutions of Ukraine are ranked by the Hirsch index, which is a quantitative characteristic of the productivity of a scientist, a group of scientists, a scientific organization or the country as a whole, based on the number of publications and the number of citations of these publications.

At the time of the monitoring, 166 institutions of higher education of Ukraine were included in the Scopus database, including Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. According to the ranking, our University took 78th place (the number of publications is 131, the number of citations is 554, the Hirsch index is 12).
