The Faculty of Foreign Languages hosted the celebration of Christmas and New Year.
The history of the celebration of Christmas and New Year is rooted in the distant past. This is a time when all people want to be happy and have fun, make new plans, set new goals, and wait for the New Year’s fairy tale. New Year is a special period in the life of every country. These holidays are celebrated everywhere in different ways – each country has its own traditions. Perhaps that is why the celebration of Christmas and New Year is something very bewitching and is celebrated in a special way in Ukraine.
It has already become a good tradition on the eve of the New Year holidays to get together and have fun celebrating at the Faculty of Foreign Languages. At the beginning of the event, the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Svitlana Shekhavtsova congratulated students on the upcoming holidays and wished them happiness, health and academic success. Olena Bindas, head of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology, and Margarita Morozova, Deputy Dean for Social and Humanitarian Work, joined the congratulations.
Then the magic began: students lured the audience into a real New Year’s performance, where they presented their interesting performances. The magic and extravaganza of the New Year returned, filling the holiday with bright colors and loud laughter. Students sang songs and danced, enjoying an incredible friendly atmosphere.
From the whole Faculty of Foreign Languages, we wish you all the best in 2020! Happy New Year!
