Meeting of the Youth Club of Oriental Cultures

Foreign students got acquainted with the collection of the Agantagel Krymskyi’s library in the context of Ukrainian Oriental studies.

The regular meeting of the Youth Club of Oriental Cultures was held at the Faculty of Foreign Languages. The Club’s guest was Volodymyr Pidvoinyi, Candidate of Philology, specialist in Turkology, senior researcher at the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine.

At the Club meeting, Volodymyr presented the scientific problems of the topic “Library Collection of Agantagel Krymskyi in the Context of Ukrainian Oriental studies” and made a report focused on issues of modern library discourse in Ukraine.

During a two-day stay at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Volodymyr Pidvoinyi gave students studying Oriental languages ​​a lecture on cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Ukraine and Turkeyˮ. He also talked with students who study Turkish and made a presentation “Turkey: Development and Socio-Cultural Features”.
