University Administration meeting

Today, a scheduled meeting of the University Administration was held at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
The agenda included the issue concerning the state and development prospects of the College of LTSNU.
Having heard and discussed the report of the Director of the College Natalia Motunova, the University Administration mentioned that the number of students in the college increased from 59 to 233 people, that is, 75%, for the 2015-2019 period. Student enrollment rates for the previous 5 years remain stable.
It was managed the achieve positive dynamics thanks to targeted career guidance work. In career guidance work, were used the capabilities of the Internet and the institution’s website, which was created this year. The admission campaign 2020 will take into account the requirements of the new legislation. In accordance with the Law of Ukraine on 09.08.2019 No. 2745 – VIII “On Professional before Higher Education”, from 2020 the College will become the institution of professional before higher education; and the intake of students will be held according to educational and professional degrees “Professional Junior Bachelor”.
The staff of the College in 2014 was completely lost. Now the College has 19 full-time teachers and 8 part-time workers. Among them, two Candidates of Sciences, six teachers have the highest qualification category, two teachers – the first qualification category and five ones have the second qualification category. Educational activities at the College are carried out in accordance with the approved State educational standards.
An integral part of the process of training specialists in college is the practice of students. The practice bases are organizations and enterprises of various sectors of the economy, educational institutions and public administration institutions. Today the College has long-term agreements with 70 educational institutions and 4 children’s health camps – the practice bases for students majoring in “Primary Education” and “Secondary education (physical education)”, 8 state organizations – the practice bases for students majoring in “Information, Library and Archiving”, 4 hairdressing salons in Starobilsk city –bases of practice for students majoring in “Design (hairdressing and decorative cosmetics)”, 7 enterprises – bases of practice for students majoring in “Hotel and Restaurant Business”.
An integral part of the educational process is social and humanitarian work. The College is actively involved in the cultural life of the university and holds various educational events. Significant are the achievements of college athletes – winners, prize-winners of regional and All-Ukrainian competitions.
The Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology Olena Karaman and the Acting Head of the Department for Quality Management of Educational Activities Margarita Kravchenko took part in the discussion of this issue.
Also current working issues were addressed.
