On December 3, students of the Institute of Culture and Arts visited the channel “Poltava Television”.
Students of the Institute of Culture and Arts received an interesting experience in the studio, recording live, and also learned how the channel works from the inside.
The excursion was conducted by the fourth-year student majoring in Audiovisual Art and Production Oleg Demidenko. At the beginning of the tour, students saw the news room – the main location of the channel, where the work of journalists who offer and discuss informational events and monitor the news of the city and the region. Oleg suggested that students independently come up with informational motives and told how to correctly formulate them; He also told how the channel receives news from insiders in order to process the most relevant information as soon as possible.
Then the students got into the recording room, the control room, the waiting room at the location for live broadcasts, as well as the camera room. The tour ended with a proposal to try their hand at recording real-time weather forecasts, where everyone could feel like a journalist and a bit of a television star. Writing a forecast turned out to be quite difficult, because in the frame everyone looks completely different from how they used to perceive themselves.
In the end, the operators pleased the students with various backgrounds for filming, where students took plenty of pictures and saw themselves on large monitors among the African savannah, on the streets of New York, as well as in outer space.
