Opening of the Volunteer Centre

The first volunteer centre in Starobilsk was opened on August 21.

The public organizations of Starobilsk opened the volunteer centre. Luhansk National University became its partner. The centre was initiated by the public organization “Ukrainian Association of Participants in Military Actions and Volunteers of ATO of Starobilsk District”. The volunteer centre is aimed at coordinating and fund raising to help the soldiers and the displaced persons.

LNU undertook a commitment to organize different trainings, perform teaching activity and arrange holidays.

“We were waiting for it for a long time. We have achieved our common purpose. This centre will become a heart of the volunteering. We are calling upon all Starobilsk citizens, sponsors and public activists to join our common goal”, – told the Head of Student Social Service Sector Olena Dorohavtseva.

The premises of volunteer centre were consecrated by the priest of Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Kyiv Patriarchate) of Luhansk Eparchy Volodymyr Bespalyi.
