“Together Against AIDS”

On December 2, a series of events dedicated to World AIDS Day took place at the Institute of Economy and Business.

Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome is one of the most dangerous diseases of our time. Humanity is making daily efforts to destroy the invasion of the 21st century global epidemic.

Traditionally, on December 1, the world community unites with the goal of social tolerance and expanding the exchange of information about the pandemic, which is rapidly spreading across all regions of the globe.

Students and teachers of the Educational and Research Institute of Economy and Business also do not stand on the sidelines of these problems. So, on December 2, students gathered in a coworking center “Creative University”. At the beginning of the event, the Deputy Director for Social and Humanitarian Work Oleg Chernysh addressed the audience. He focused on the relevance of HIV and AIDS to modern society and the need to combat the pandemic.

As a symbol of the fight against a terrible disease and drawing attention to the problems of HIV-infected people, the representatives of the social sector of the student government of the Institute prepared a poster “Together Against AIDS”.

Student youth also revised the movie “The Medicine”, which talks about the tragic fate of an 11-year-old terminally ill boy Dexter. The film raises the painful issues of HIV-infected people, highlights stereotypes about the ways of AIDS transmission and public attitude to this epidemic.

In the evening, students of the Educational and Research Institute of Economy and Business joined the solemn procession organized by the student social service of the university.
