Weightlifting Championships of Ukraine

The Weightlifting Championships of Ukraine and the tournament in memory of Olympic champion I. Rybak took place in the city of Kharkiv. 

Students of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports as a part of the team of the Luhansk region took the third place!
In the individual competition, the best result in the weight category up to 45 kg was shown by Nadiia Kurdiukova (2 year, specialty “Physical Culture and Sports. Sport’). In total, the athlete lifted the weight of 112 kg and won the gold medal. This result is equal to the standard for awarding the sports title “Master of Sports of Ukraine”.

In the weight category up to 49 kg Tetiana Budnikova won the silver medal (1 year, specialty “Secondary Education. Physical Education”) with the result of 141 kg in the total biathlon.

In the weight category of 87 kg Tetiana Andriiaschenko also got silver (1 year, specialty “Physical Culture and Sports. Sport”) with a result of 167 kg.

Kartyna Buianova (1 year, specialty “Secondary Education. Physical Education”) in the weight category of 55 kg took 4th place with a result of 157 kg.

Another silver medal was won by the 4th year student majoring in “Secondary Education. Human Health” Dmytro Kurdiukov. In the weight category of 67 kg, he showed a result of 247 kg in the total biathlon.
