Romance and Germanic Languages in the Modern Intercultural Space

On November 21, 2019, the V All-Ukrainian Student Scientific and Practical Conference “Romance and Germanic Languages in the Modern Intercultural Space” was held at the Romance and Germanic Philology Department.
Several higher educational institutions joined the conference, including: Vinnytsia Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi State Pedagogical University, Cherkasy Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University, Poltava V.G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University etc.
The conference began with a welcoming speech by the Head of the Romance and Germanic Philology Department, PhD, associate professor Byndas O.M. The presentations at the plenary session were presented by: Protopopova K.O., student, “English podcasting as a modern interactive and communicative technology”, scientific supervisor – Shekhavtsova S.O., Doctor of Pedagogy, professor; Li Weihua, graduate student, “Multimodal construction of artificial intelligence technology in modern teaching of foreign languages”, scientific supervisor – Savchenko S.V, Doctor of Pedagogy; Jailei Wu, student, “The Bible Study Theories. Judas Iscariot”, supervisor – Dmytrenko V.I., Doctor of Philology, professor; Maiorenko V.I, student, “Concept “la ruse” (cunning), verbalized in French phraseology as a part of the French conceptosphere”, scientific supervisor –Shapovalova L.V., PhD, associate professor.
After the plenary session, the following sections began their work: “Actual issues of Romance and Germanic Philology and Translation Studies”, “Modern Strategies of Intercultural Communication in the European Space”, “The Originality of Romance and Germanic Literature”, “Innovative Technologies for Teaching Romance and Germanic Languages”. All participants had the opportunity to ask questions, discuss reports, debate and propose solutions to problematic issues that were highlighted by the speakers.
The conference was held in a productive and friendly format, and at the end of the work all of the participants were awarded with the certificates. We are sincerely grateful to students for participating in the conference and we are waiting for the next meeting!
