Visit to the Scientific Lyceum

Students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​visited the Scientific Lyceum No. 3 of the city of Poltava.

The second-year students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of LTSNU, studying Chinese and the postgraduate student from China Li Weihua visited Scientific Lyceum No. 3 of the city of Poltava.

The students together with the Chinese language teacher of this lyceum A.A. Korenska, who also works as a senior laboratory assistant at the Department of Oriental Languages ​​and is studying for a master’s degree in specialty Language and Literature (Chinese), held a number of events. Among them was the brain ring “China – the Country of the Future”, a master class on Chinese calligraphy, intellectual game “Prominent Chinese Figures and Their Inventions”. During the events, students of the lyceum received real Chinese names from Li Weihua, which they used during communication.

The events were a useful experience for university students, interesting and informative for students of the lyceum. They were important in terms of career guidance – students of the lyceum plan to study Chinese in the future and enter our University. For Li Weihua, this was the beginning of her postgraduate teaching practice at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
