Silver medalist

Bohdana Semenova, a student of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports, became a silver medalist in the Balkan Cross Country Championships.

In December, the European Cross Country Championships will be held. And on the way to Lisbon, athletics made a stop in Beran (Montenegro), competed in the Cross Country Championships of the Association of Balkan Athletics Federations (ABAF).

Of course, not all Ukrainians who participated in the ABAF Championships will take part in the European Championships. But for all of them, these competitions have become an indispensable experience, and both team and individual medals have been brought to Ukraine. Three teams won at once, and two more became the second.

Team gold in the U23 age category was won by women at a distance of 6 km. In the individual standings, Bahar Atalay from Turkey won (02.21 min), and three Ukrainians finished right after her. The silver medalist was Bohdana Semenova (21.04 min) – fourth-year student of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports, specialty “Physical Culture and Sports. Sports”.

Bohdana is a Master of Sports of Ukraine, a member of the national track and field team of Ukraine, a repeated champion of Ukraine, and a medalist of international competitions.

We congratulate our student and wish her successful performance at the European Cross Country Championships!
