Statista Webinar

On November 12, the University hosted a Statista Orientation Webinar in the library.

At 13:00 at the library, a Statista Webinar,  which was offered from Germany, was held. The event was attended be the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work Oleksandr Meniailenko, Director of the library Maria Pochinkova, Candidate of Sociological Sciences Kateryna Kotelenets, library staff and 1st year students.

During the webinar, the representative of the platform “Statista” Arthur told the audience how to use this resource. From the site you can copy, download materials for personal purposes. Statista is a large online portal for statistics, which contatins data from different industries of any country in the world.

At the end, everyone asked questions and received answers.

Oleksandr Meniailenko says: “This is an interesting platform. For us, it is completely new. Statista has an applied aspect for specialists who are really engaged in science, for example, economists, students who are involved in the use of statistical data, including education. Therefore, I invite our scientists, students, after connecting to this platform, to take an interest and work with this databaseˮ.

We hope that in the near future everyone will be able to freely use this huge database.
