GREEN STREAM FEST

Teachers and students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences participated in the GREEN STREAM FEST.
On October 24, 2019, the GREEN STREAM FEST was organized on the basis of Pervomaisk Industrial and Pedagogical College (Rubizhne town), which was organized by the NGO Open Policy Foundation under the Let’s Open Green STrEAM program with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine and the Cooperation Development Program and democracy support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania.
The fruitful result of the collaboration between our university and the Open Fund Open Policy Foundation was the signing of a memorandum of understanding on the development and dissemination of advanced and pedagogical experience in using modern innovative approaches and the formation of an open educational space according to STREAM principles and subject to the formation of value orientations for sustainable development of society and nature. The signing of the memorandum was visited by the Rector of the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” Serhii Savchenko.
The training was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences Natalia Matsai, assistant of the Department of Biology and Agronomy Daria Sharai, assistant of the Department of Gardening and Ecology Anastasia Bairachna, 3rd year student majoring in “Secondary Education. Biology” Oleksandra Kononenko, 4th year student majoring in “Secondary Education. Biology” Olena Glushchenko, 3rd year student majoring in “Secondary Education. Geography” Anatolii Tsyurukanov.
The training participants learned about the work of Green STREAM Lab, namely fun coding / programming through Makey Makey, chocolate chemistry, mathematics and pysankanism, mathematics / physics and straw weaving. And also Digital Lab – Cool Digital Teaching, during which Padlet, Zeeting, Kahoot took possession, created Stone in Smore.
One should emphasize that our teachers and students were invited to the festival as mentors of individual training programs. Anastasia Bairachna and Daria Sharai provided the Digital Lab location – Cool Digital Teaching. Oleksandra Kononenko and Anatolii Tsyurukanov taught the creation of stone in Smore. New participants joined the work of the locations, future ambassadors – students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences under the leadership of Olena Glushchenko.
At the end of the festival, all participants received certificates of learning outcomes and an unforgettable experience.
