“This year a number of talented children from different parts of Ukraine has really impressed us. The applicants have come from Luhansk, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Vinnytsia, Poltava, Sumy and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.

It has been nice to meet familiar faces. Some of our applicants had taken part in the All-Ukrainian festival-contest “Talented Youth 2015” organized by Luhansk National University in Starobilsk. This participation has helped them to choose the university. “It is great that all performers have shown a high level of preparation” – has shared her impressions Director of the Institute of Culture and Arts Inna Stashevska.

During the creativity competition in “Musical Art” training direction the applicants – future instrumentalists, conductors and vocalists – have displayed good performing, artistry and the most important thing – a great desire to improve their skills. We have been attended by many musicians and vocalists who had already graduated the university of the I and II level of accreditation. This year more than ever there have been all main instruments of folk orchestra as well as piano, guitar, violin, violoncello, alto and so on.   All applicants have done a good job and the Commission has got a lot of pleasant impressions.

The applicants for “Hairdressing” speciality have been invited to do interesting task. During the first stage the applicants have created the pictures of men’s, women’s and children’s hairstyle. They have chosen style and technique they would create in by themselves. Each hairstyle has been added with accessories depended on times. Then during the second stage the applicants created eye makeup at the sheet of paper. It has been important to show colour cosmetics skills. Artistic imagination of future hairdressers has created a variety of images and incarnated them on paper. The Examination Commission has been pleased with the result.

At the first stage future television presenters traditionally have got into a role. They had to read a text on-camera in both Ukrainian and Russian languages. Showing oratorical skills and dramatic reading have been of great importance. During the second stage the applicants have had a chance to display their creativity via essay. They could choose aphorisms and create a competitive text based on it. This has tested the linguostylistic level and analytical thinking. The entrants have prepared well and have obtained high grades.

Two competitive stages have been conducted for “Fine Art” training direction as well. Firstly, one needed to create geometrical picture in pencil. During the second stage future artists have created still-life paintings showing their skills with colours and brushes. Some of children had left artistic schools when the others have shown their natural gifts. Almost all of them have perfectly done a job.

The choreographers have had a master-class in classical dance before the exam. The first day the entrants have shown bar exercises to the accompaniment of concertmaster. And then the most interesting part has started – improvisation performance. During the second competitive day everyone has presented own program. There has been one more master-class in modern dance to be sure of future choreographers’ skills.
