Teacher’s Day

The University celebrated the Education Workers’ Day.

In the first week of October, our country traditionally celebrates Teacher’s Day.  It is the day when all educational institutions become more cheerful and lively. Teachers are those people who give us a ticket to life, introduce us to the book, knowledge, become an adviser and best friend. Teachers contribute to the development of Ukraine, form a new generation of its citizens, passing on each invaluable treasure of high education, rich spirituality and the desire to change their life and the fate of Ukraine for the better.

This holiday is celebrated annually at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. From the very morning a festive atmosphere reigned here. Students congratulated their teachers with flowers and gifts, said words of gratitude and appreciation. Greeting posters were hung out in advance in the lobby.

The celebration continued with a festive concert in the assembly hall. Students led by the head of the Center for Culture and Leisure Olha Mironova prepared wonderful concert performances.

At the beginning of the event, Vitalii Kurylo, Head of the University Academic Council, addressed his colleagues: “I want to congratulate all of you, teachers and employees of our University, on this wonderful holiday. Do good, teach youth, increase your knowledge and the knowledge of your students. Happy holiday!ˮ

Also Vitalii Semenovych awarded Valentyna Lesnova and Nadiia Bezhodova with honorary diplomas of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for fruitful work, high training of highly qualified specialists and fruitful research and pedagogical work. 

Diplomas of the Department of Education and Science of the Luhansk Regional State Administration were awarded to Serhii Masliiov and Larysa Melnyk.

For conscientious work, high professionalism, high-quality training of specialists, significant personal contribution to the development of higher education and on the occasion of the Education Workers’ Day, teachers and staff were awarded with diplomas of LTSNU.

Honored guests at the event were the Acting Head of the Starobilsk District State Administration Oleksandr Kalinin, the Head of the Starobilsk District Council Mykola Kulachko and the manager of the executive committee of the Starobilsk City Council Volodymyr Luhanskyi. They thanked the teachers of our University for their diligent work and awarded them with diplomas.

A lot of wonderful words, heartfelt gratitude were said to the leading teachers. Together with participants in the amateur performances of our University, students of the Educational and Research Institute of Culture and Arts performed on the university stage. Touching and fervent songs, performances of the theater of costumes, the dance group ,, Inspirationˮ caused a flurry of applause and positive ​​emotions among those present.

The festive concert ended with warm words addressed to those who chose a difficult, but honorable and high destiny. After all, to be a teacher is to accomplish exploits every day!
