European Day of Languages

A large-scale event dedicated to the European Day of Languages was held at the Faculty of Foreign Languages.

Despite the centuries-old history of European languages, this holiday was established in 2001. Since then, the European Day of Languages has been celebrated annually in September, with the aim of maintaining linguistic diversity, developing teaching and learning of different languages in the world.

Of course, our philology students have joined in celebrating this remarkable date, as a great number of European languages such as English, German, French and Spanish is learned at the Faculty. They are the future experts who plan to embark on their professional path. Moreover, students studying Oriental languages – Chinese, Turkish and Japanese – also joined the celebration. Each group of students prepared creative and informative posters about the languages they learn, presented lots of interesting facts about the different languages and cultures of the world and told them how they learn foreign languages at the Faculty of Foreign Languages.

We wish our students even more creativity and perseverance in such a difficult matter as learning foreign languages and cultures!
