Poltava City Day

Students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages have joined the celebration of Poltava City Day, which has long been considered the spiritual and cultural city of Ukraine.

On the 23rd of September, 2019, Poltava celebrates its 1120th anniversary. The students of the Faculty took part in setting the record of Ukraine for the creation of the largest wreath. The length of the wreath is 1120 meters – one meter per year for the life of Poltava. Poltava rallied creative students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages around the historical date and initiated the creation of a wreath-recorder.

The students invested a part of their positive thoughts in the greatest charm in the history of Poltava, weaving the wreath of maple, oak, alder, willow and rowan branches. In addition to trees, which have long been considered natural charms, students brought autumn flowers and weaved them into the common charm.

In general, weaving of the largest wreath became the largest flashmob in the history of Poltava, in which active students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages participated.

The Faculty of Foreign Languages wishes each of us to remain patriots of our city, preserve and enhance the beauty and cultural coloring of Ukraine.
