Meeting with the governor

On September 19, the Chairman of the Luhansk Regional State Administration Vitalii Komarnytskyi visited Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

Today, the Chairman of the Luhansk Regional State Administration, head of the Regional Military-Civil Administration Vitalii Komarnytskyi arrived to Starobilsk district. He came to our University together with the assistant of the LRSA Patronage Service Olga Kutsevska and the Press Service.

The meeting of the head of the region with the university administration took place at the University Square, and then he saw the educational buildings and classrooms, where classes were held. So, he saw a fragment of a lesson for students majoring in “Primary Education” in the office of the New Ukrainian School and a training session “Stabilization of the Psycho-Emotional State” for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

They showed the chairman of the LRSA the Geological Museum, which collected samples of minerals, rocks, fossilized remains of fauna and flora.

The next object of inspection was a student hostel. The honored guest had the opportunity to see in what conditions our students live. A new hostel was opened at the beginning of the year. It has 27 living rooms designed for 88 students. It was possible to equip it through cooperation with the Czech Development Agency, which began in 2015. The agency assisted the university in the purchase of bunk beds, mattresses, furniture cabinets, boilers, showers, radiators for space heating. A self-study room is equipped here, where young people can organize their leisure time, relax and get ready for classes.

The meeting ended in the university hall, where exactly today the traditional exhibition of autumn compositions “Amazing Ukrainian Autumn” was held, the organizer of which was the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology. The exhibition featured the creative work of students who, having shown creativity and imagination, made various ikebans, beautiful autumn compositions decorated with viburnum, yellowed leaves, flowers. And as a sign of deep respect, students of the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications presented an honored guest with a composition that, according to them, will bring peace and prosperity to the host.

At the end of the meeting, Vitalii Komarnytskyi noted: “The main purpose of my visit today is to learn about the activities of displaced higher education institutions and the organization of the educational process. Considering what I have seen, I would like to point out that there is a striking difference between LTSNU and the recently displaced university, which is located next to LTSNU. As always, everything is fine at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University!”

The working meeting of Vitalii Komarnytskyi at our University was held in a warm business atmosphere. Once again we confirmed that we remain the leader of higher education in the east of Ukraine!
