“European Projects Lab for NGOs”

Employees of the ER ICSTT participated in the discussion-training “European Projects Lab for NGOs” from the EU Delegation.
On September 16, 2019 from the EU Delegation to Ukraine in Poltava, a discussion-training “European Projects Lab for NGOs” was held, in which the scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Commodity Research, Commercial Business and Goods Expertise our university took part.
The discussion was conducted under the leadership of Denis Tkachov, expert trainer of the EU initiative Team Europe Kharkiv; co-founder of the Grant Management Community; Master of International Economics and Public Administration; ex-head of the Department for Improving the Competitiveness of the Region and the Office of Foreign Economic Relations and International Relations of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration.
In the first part of the discussion-training, a crash test of project applications was conducted. Here Natalia Omelchenko presented the project “Energy-efficient, Safe and Comfortable Lighting in Every School and Home.” When discussing the project, Denis Tkachov provided an expert assessment of the project initiative, shared practical recommendations for their implementation in the future, noted the prospects and relevance of this project and wished success in its promotion.
In the second part of the event, those present took part in the anti-training “How NOT to get a grant from a donor”. In particular, in the reverse brainstorming mode, they learned what exactly should not be done in order to receive grant support from the EU.
The discussion-training in Poltava was conducted by the EU Delegation in Ukraine. It is part of a series of outreach events organized by the EU Delegation in Ukraine throughout the country. During the discussion of the training “European Projects Lab for NGOs” the importance was clarified: the implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU, the dissemination of European values and raising the level of awareness of Ukrainians regarding the development of relations between Ukraine and the EU.
