Meeting with Volodymyr Semystiaha

A scholar of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Volodymyr Semystiaha was awarded the Order of Merit, III degree.

A scientist of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Volodymyr Semystiaha is an Honored Education Worker of Ukraine, Ukrainian historian and public figure. By the start of hostilities in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, he held the position of senior lecturer at the Department of History of Ukraine at our University.

Volodymyr Semystiaha came to the Luhansk region to receive one of the highest state awards from the hands of the chairman of the Luhansk Regional State Administration Vitalii Komarnytskyi – the Order of Merit of the III degree. 

Volodymyr Fedorovych also visited his native University. And although he had little time for an interview, we still managed to talk. 

The details of the teacher’s life in captivity and escape from it are disclosed in the book by Oleksandr Skrypnyk “Shot in the Donbass for “Treason against Russia”, which the historian presented to our library.
