Participation in the Red Noses training

Volunteer students took part in the training “RED NOSES Clowndoctors International”.

The training took place on August 31, 2019 on the basis of the Luhansk regional organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine. The Red Noses team held a workshop on the use of humor in working with children for Red Cross volunteers.

The international organization “RED NOSES Clowndoctors International” works in hospitals with chronically and acutely ill children, in nursing homes, with people with mental and other disabilities. The team that arrived in Ukraine consists of four professional clowns: Polina, Mark, Mario and Ian. By the way, these volunteers are from different countries of Europe.

Oksana Palaguta, student majoring in Psychology, coordinator of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine with psychosocial support for the population of Starobilsk, which is implemented in the free space of the Сoworking-center – Creative University, says that participation in this training is extremely important. “This is a valuable experience and practice on how to give children joy through fun humorous events. Now we will introduce this in our activities,” the volunteer said.
